Slokas have a positive effect on us. They help relieve stress, restlessness and anxiety. You may make your children recite some relevant slokas during exams time, competition or even on a normal day to help them focus on their activities and feel refreshed. O Lord, who is wearing White colored clothes, Who is all pervading, who has four hands, Who has a peaceful, joyous face we meditate on you, remove all the obstacles.

O Lord with the Elephant face seeing whom the face of Mother Parvati lights up just like a beautiful Lotus opens up after seeing sun, I meditate on you Day & Night, bless us O Single Tusked Lord, giver of boons in plenty.

Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra

Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra also known as the Rudra Mantra or Tryambakam Mantra, is a verse of the Rigveda. The sūkta is addressed to Tryambaka, “The Three-eyed One”, an epithet of Rudra who is identified with Shiva in Shaivism. The verse also recurs in the Yajurveda.

The Atmashatkam, also known as Nirvanashatkam is a devotional composition consisting of 6 verses or ślokas in Sanskrit, written by the Hindu philosopher Adi Shankara summarizing the basic teachings of Advaita Vedanta, or the Hindu teachings of non-dualism. It was written around 788-820 CE.

Karagre vasate lakshmi Sloka

This is a morning prayer called “karadarshana”. Chant this when you wake up in the morning. One prays in the morning to reinforce the attitude that all actions are performed as a service to the Lord.

Sri Raama Raamethi Sloka

Sri Raama Raamethi Sloka is recited at the end of the Vishnu Sahasranama, and is said to have been told to Parvati by Shiva.

He said: chanting the name of Sri Rama just three times is equivalent to reciting the entire list of the Lord’s thousand names. So, chanting this one shloka is like reciting the entire Vishnu Sahasranama.
