Who is supreme Hindu GOD?

In Hinduism, the concept of a supreme god, or Brahman, is that of the ultimate reality, the source and foundation of all existence. While Brahman is often seen as a singular, formless entity, its qualities and powers are represented through a diverse array of gods and deities, including Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva

The majority of Hindus believe in one supreme god (The Brahman). Everything is a part of and a manifestation of Brahman, the ultimate reality; however, Brahman’s qualities and powers may be represented by a great diversity of gods/deities all of which emanate from The Brahman. The concept of Brahman and the relationship of the Supreme Being with nature, individual souls, and The Brahman’s various manifestations are the subject of many different Hindu schools of philosophy/belief.

Who is great? Shiva or Vishnu

The Mahabharata declares the unchanging Ultimate Reality (Brahman) to be identical to Shiva and to Vishnu, that Vishnu is the highest manifestation of Shiva, and Shiva is the highest manifestation of Vishnu.

Both are seen as different expressions of the same supreme consciousness. Dvaita Vedanta, on the other hand, maintains a dualistic approach.

Who is Shiva?

Lord Shiva is a prominent god in Hinduism, revered as the “destroyer” within the Trimurti (Hindu trinity) and worshipped as the supreme god by Shaivites, embodying both destruction and creation and known for his asceticism and complex nature.

Within Hinduism, the Shaivite tradition considers Shiva the supreme god, with other deities seen as aspects of him.

Shiva is also known as Mahadeva (The Great God), Bholanatha (the lord of innocence), and Adiyogi (the first yogi).
